"Do You Really Want To Wear A Fanny Pack? Instead, Wear A Sign That Says 'I'm An Assbag' "
Or
Coachella 2005 Revisited Pt. III :

let'see, this was that one guy from UNKLE. he, straight up...kicked ass, everyone totally got their faces completely rocked off. (the pic is a little blurry 'cause i was really busy getting my face rocked off)

at one point in front of the mainstage i just held my arm up and snapped a picture behind me, i think i was about half way in the crowd. right to the side of the control booth. um, that's alot of fucking people, right? (on the left, waaaay off in the distance you can see the dj tent, muy grande!)

this was Kean, i sure do like those boys! mmm, Brit-pop...LOVE IT!

i had to call bob today and see if he bought his plane ticket to ontario (he did). i think he's finally getting REALLY excited about coachella. which is good, then i have someone to be excited with. i think that it's just cause i know what to expect, plus all the good acts that are there this year. OH YEAH, my goal is to spot at least one celebrity in the crowd this year and get a pic with them. last year alot of people ran into danny divito. that would have KICKED ASS! anyway, i also told bob to pack light. last year i packed something like 3 pairs of shorts, 4 t-shirts, 4 boxers, 5 socks and jeans plus the cloths i had on my back whein i flew in...and that was WAY too much. live and learn.

oh! and sunscreen...gotta bring the sunscreen!

in other news, got the route for the big move planned out. i'm thinking we're going to stop in Des Moines to sleep. hopefully if we're lucky i can find that hotel that sunshine and i stayed at and we can have the $10.99 all you can eat mashed potato and jello buffet. yummy!

or, i could just have a dog fart in my face. either way...

i need to find a moving company that will be reasonable to rent a moving truck from. i think nicole said penske was the cheapest they found when they moved back here from Il. dunno' we'll see...anyone have any suggestions?

Coachella 2005 Revisited pt. deux:
There's all sorts of stuff to see and participate in too, this was my favorite. it was an art installation...right before NIN on sunday, the robots killed the baby. fake blood was spewing over the crowd. it was beautiful!
then, obviously, we saw a ton of acts. here we cought k-os in the hip hop tent. the only thing you can't see is the huge cloud of pot smoke hovering over the crowd. i certainly hope those kids didn't inhale.

um, i believe this was Radio 4 in the indy tent. too much reverb, really tight pants

oh! this was cool...DJ Peretz (a.k.a. Perry Ferrell) , he was singing along with his set. all i kept thinking was "HOLY CRAP! IT"S PERRY FERRELL!"

"I'll Take Prison Mother for $200 Alex..."

lots and lots of drama at work. my boss is being transferred out tomorrow morning. which is fine (sad, but fine) but she just found out last night. and that's not even the drama, the drama is whith another manager we got two weeks ago. i don't get her. ugh. more to come.

i saw Madea's Family Reunion last night. i was pleasantly suprised. "Heller!!"

Fatty Fatty Two by Four!= week 2 weigh in = 236.20 lbs. / total weight loss = 10.20 lbs.

Coachella 2005 Revisited pt 1:

so it's 50 days out until Coachella 2006. last year's show rocked ass and this years is going to be better with Scissor Sisters, Madonna, Scissor Sisters, Daft Punk, Scissor Sisters, Depech Mode, Scissor Sisters....and did i mention Scissor Sisters? i can't wait. this year i'll have company to share the experience with. hopefully it won't be too hot. any-hoo-here's some pics from last year:

after you get to the end of Sam's street you're at the corner of the polo fields, from there you kind of walk and walk and walk until you get to the entrance...the next day we realized someone could drive us through and then leave through the back thus eliminating all the walking. live and learn.

it's not really until you get inside that you realize how BIG the festival is. you wait in line, get searched (and i mean searched), make your way through a tent of porta potties and viola...coachella is spread out in front of you. this is right inside the entrance (right after the porta potties) the big tent in the distance is one of the concert t shirts stands. muy grande!

hang a left and there's grass...lots and lots of grass, and the mainstage. there's also these really big open tents here and there for shade. which is nice, last year we didn't need them 'cause the weather was nice. hope it is this year too.

Oh Shit, I Forgot To Tell You:

the season finale of Project Runway was last night, and to tell you the truth...i really didn't care for anybody's collections.they all seemed so safe. let's start at the beginning (time for me to get really faggy on y'all):

Daniel - i (for once) am with michael kors...i didn't get it. i think some of his pieces were nice (the white overcoat, the brocade jacket and the camel dress) but what he said his collection was about and what is was...i just didn't get it. and on a personal side note, i think he's playing a dangerous game. is it just me or is he REALLY flirty with tim gunn and michael kors? and what was up with michael kors saying "if you're looking for a job, give me a call."...exactly what kind of job was he referring to?

Santino - what can i say about santino? you know, say what you will about him, but i like him. i dunno what it is. i DO think he's very talented and i DO believe he's really creative, but he was just trying so hard all season to prove something to the judges (hell, everyone!) that at the end he just sort of fell flat, ok well maybe not...but his collection just fizzled. however, there were some REALLY nice stuff in his collection though. plus he did his own music and that rocks in my book. but, like i said, i really like the guy...and unlike everyone else i don't think he's an asshole. i get him.

Chloe - she is good (well, she won right?) but i didn't think her collection as a whole was very impressive. it really did have it's moments...but it seemed so, um..."normal", know what i mean?

i think that was the problem with all 3 collections, they didn't SAY anything. unlike Jay's from last season...his collection was SO forward in it's thinking, but in a very real way. and that my friends...is why Jay McCarrol KICKS ASS!

also: be on the look out for Coachella 2005 Revisited. i totally forgot, i never shared any of my pictures from last year with you guys. so i'll do that as a countdow to this year.

and finally: I Am the Biggest Loser, really. - Week 1 weigh in = 236.4 lbs. / total loss = 6.2 lbs.
I LOVE MY DOGGIE!

I really do!

OH MY FUCKING GAWD....pt.II

so i just found out more. Madonna will be performing a LIVE set at coachella, not a dj set as previously rumored. A. LIVE. SET.

(I nabbed this off Madonnalicious.com) :
Just weeks after announcing that she is planning a scaled-down U.S. tour, Madonna has signed on to play her first-ever festival date. The singer will set up under the big top at this year's Coachella Festival in Indio, California, to perform a set with her band in the massive DJ-heavy Sahara Tent on April 30. 'I've never performed at a festival,' Madonna said in a press release announcing the rare gig. 'And I'm especially excited about playing at Coachella before I start my own tour.' It's an unexpected move for the pioneering festival, which has booked everyone from hardcore dance/electronic acts Fatboy Slim and Kraftwerk to the Chemical Brothers and Prodigy as headliners in the Sahara Tent in the past, but never an international pop star on the level of Madonna. But that's kind of the point, according to Goldenvoice's Paul Tollette, the show's promoter. 'I love things you don't see all the time,' Tollette said. 'And we're always trying to make it so it's something you don't see anywhere else.' The booking of Madonna adds to a lineup that Tollette said is already packed with some rare treats, including the first-ever major festival appearance in the U.S. by headliners Depeche Mode, the first U.S. gig in nine years from Daft Punk and the first trip to the states in eight years for pioneering trip-hoppers Massive Attack. Madonna's appearance will be a warm-up of sorts for her upcoming summer tour, which she has said will be a more intimate affair than her past extravaganzas.

also: Madonna performs in the Sahara Dance Tent (after Paul Oakenfold) on Sunday 30 April 2006. She will be playing while Tool headlines on the main stage. (mmm, sorry Tool)

The promoter would not speculate on capacity of the dance tent, but several thousand people managed to fit in there for a performance by Beck in 2004. (um, I've been in it, trust me...it's HUGE!)

that'st all for now, peace out

OH MY FUCKING GAWD!
